About Sweet Flower - Studio City Dispensary
Sweet Flower is California’s leading cannabis retailer. Sweet Flower is one of the longest serving legal dispensaries in Los Angeles, originating as a medical collective in 2006, and working, legally at all times, to serve the needs of patients in our community.
Since the legalization of recreational cannabis in California in 2018, Sweet Flower has opened more stores and been awarded more licenses in premium locations throughout Southern California than any other competing retailer.
In 2018, Sweet Flower expanded its Southern California presence to include multiple new locations in Los Angeles, opening new stores and winning new licenses throughout Southern California. Today, Sweet Flower serves the greater Los Angeles community from its stores on Melrose, the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District, Studio City, and Westwood, with new stores slated to open 2021 in Culver City and Pasadena, among others. In addition, Sweet Flower operates delivery across all of Los Angeles.
Sweet Flower is committed to giving back to the communities it serves, to operating openly and transparently, and to hiring inclusively and diversely. Sweet Flower employs 120 local team members, 80% of whom are African American or Latinx; under its “Sweet Flower Shares” community investment program has donated over $175,000 to local community organizations in Los Angeles, started a social equity program (working with Equity First Alliance and the Hood Incubator), operated expungement clinics with Cage Free Repair, appointed its executives to the boards of directors of Cannabis for Black Lives and the Black Cooperative Investment Fund, and started a program to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) owned cannabis companies throughout California; 10% of Sweet Flower’s shelves are BIPOC brands.
