How to register as a patient
Visit the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission website to sign up and obtain a patient ID number. The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) allows anyone with the following conditions to register as a medical cannabis patient:
- Severe or chronic pain
- Severe nausea
- Chronic or debilitating disease
- Cancer
- HIV
- Hepatitis C
- Medical condition that causes severe loss of appetite
- Seizures
- Severe or persistent muscle spasms
- Glaucoma
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Cachexia
- Anorexia
- Wasting syndrome or Wasting pain
- Any condition that is severe, for which other medical treatments have been ineffective, and if the symptoms “reasonably can be expected to be relieved” by the medical use of Cannabis
