Our Mission at Big Island Grown Hilo HI is to pioneer an agricultural renaissance that perpetuates the proud legacy of Hawaiʻi farmers through growing and crafting the highest grade cannabis medicine in the world.

​Our Story

Big Island Grown Hilo endeavored to build the best cannabis cultivation facility in the nation on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island in 2016 upon being awarded one of eight licenses by the Hawaii Department of Health.

​Our 35,000 square foot production facility was completed in 2018 and sits on the lower slopes of Mauna Kea nestled between the mountain and the sea.  Using the natural resources available, Big Island Grown adopts environmentally sustainable business practices including use of hydroelectric to power our production facility.  Our goal is to use 100% green energy.

Our Medicine

Big Island Grown’s Hilo fully automated facility incorporates cleanroom technology to ensure a pathogen-free environment. Optimal growing environments, tailored to the strains, maximize the plants' expression of cannabinoids and terpenes. Education at Big Island Grown Dispensaries uniquely incorporates information about how a patient's medicine is grown and manufactured at the facility. We are here to provide a Farm to Patient™ experience for every patient that comes through our doors.
