About the Creator of WholeTree

Carissa D. is the founder and CEO of WholeTree. Her academic background includes a bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences from Eastern Washington University. Carissa also studied fine art and has gained some experience in the field while working as a freelancer.

“I have been working in the cannabis industry since 2016 and am so proud of how far this industry has come. I started working for a small cannabis extraction company in Portland, Oregon and was so impressed by the effects of CBD after sampling some of their capsules. I began making my own tincture that I used for pain and anxiety, and noticed such positive results. I felt called to share the beneficial properties of the wonderful cannabis plant, and began giving family and friends free products. Many of my loved ones who originally had a negative view of cannabis were soon after convinced of the legitimacy of CBD as a natural and potent medicine.With a background in science, a love for natural products and a passion to help others heal, I made it my responsibility to craft high quality CBD products that are available to everyone (and their pets). In 2017 I opened our online store, and began selling to dispensaries and stores across the US with the help of a distributor and a small sales team. Today we remain a small woman-owned business out of Portland, Oregon USA where we have a small lab and office. We source our raw CBD oil from our friend company Zelios, and work together to choose the perfect oils for WholeTree.”   — Carissa
