Ms. Darington has been a pivotal figure in the development of the cannabis industry, particularly in Washington state.  She has dedicated her career to leading the industry out of the shadows of illegality and into the modern, legitimate industry that is developing today.

Before Washington state legalized the use of recreational marijuana, Ms. Darington owned and operated the only 100% organic medical marijuana dispensary in the state, Choice Wellness Center in Seattle.  There she provided treatment for patients when pharmaceuticals failed, including people seeking to rid their bodies of cancer.

An experienced medicine maker, Dawn used her background in healthcare to guide her passionate work of formulating therapeutic cannabis products, including edibles, salves, and Full Extract Cannabis Oil (F.E.C.O.)  Her own successful treatment with F.E.C.O. led Dawn to her signature saying, “Marijuana is safer than chemo.”

Ms. Darington is a charter member of Women of Weed and has been a guest speaker at numerous cannabis industry events, including Seattle Hempfest and the Seattle Cannabis Freedom March.  Dawn has been featured in numerous webcasts and publications.  She was Dope Magazine’s first “Patient of the Month” and was a profiled Cannabis Activist in Skunk Magazine.
