Unlike THC, CBD is completely non-psychoactive. In fact, studies suggest it may inhibit the effects of THC. The human body is understood to have an Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is a group of organic compounds and their associated receptors, the most prevalent of which are known as the CB1 (mostly found in the brain) and CB2 (mostly found within the immune system).
